The spa Sklené Teplice offers a wide selection of relax/wellness stays as well as curative stays, which are mainly focused on treatment of patients with moving apparatus diseases and diseases of the nerve system. The thermal spa lies at the bottom of the Štiavnica hills in a gorgeous valley, through which flows the local creek Teplá, and is surrounded by beautiful coniferous and deciduous forests. The spa is elevated about 400 meters above the sea level. The average annual temperature reaches 7 degrees Celsius and as such secures mild winters. Apart from the common spa treatment visitors can devote their spare time to active hiking or walking in the surroundings. As many as 14 wells spring in the spa and are the most prominent springs of the volcanic range. Due to their chemical composition they belong to natural, mildly mineralized, sulphate, calcareous-magnesia, hot, and hypotonic waters with overall mineralization of 2456 mg.1-1. Physical and chemical properties of its thermal waters predetermine the spa for the treatment of patients with moving apparatus diseases and nerve diseases. Procedures provided: tube bath + dry wrapping, beaded bath + bath, steam pool bath and cave bath, jacuzzi – underwater massage, whirlpool, Scotch spritzers, massages, individual curative physical training, hydrokinesitherapy, diadynamic and inferrential currents, diathermia, supersound, sunray lamp, paraffin, gas shots, acupuncture, spine manipulation and mobilization. The guesthouse situated in the spa centre provides accommodation in 33 double rooms, 1 double room with two extra beds and 2 suites. All rooms have their own sanitary facility, color TV, fridge and telephone. This guesthouse provides catering for the entire spa and features a modern canteen as well as a souvenir shop and coffee bar. The procedures are approximately 100 meters distant. The price of a curative stay includes accommodation, full board, initial and departure medical examination and 2-3 procedures per day. The minimum length of a stay is 10 nights. The price of a relax stay includes accommodation, half board, medical examination and 2 procedures per day according to the doctor’s recommendations. The minimum length of a stay is 7 nights.
