The spa offers a wide variety of relaxation/wellness stays as well as curative stays. It is especially suitable for curing joint diseases, rheumatological and spinal diseases, diseases of locomotive apparatus and gynecological diseases. Drinking procedures are used for treating digestive organs diseases. Specialty of this spa resort is the so called dental tourism with relaxation stays during which the guests get their teeth repaired. Hévíz, one of the biggest and most famous spa resorts in Hungary, is situated in the valley 6 km from Keszthely on the southwestern bank of Balaton. The guests can find here the biggest lake with bitter water in Europe. Water streaming from the crater keeps the water mass in constant slow motion and even more intensive motion is caused by circulation of cold water from the surface to the bottom and of warm water from the bottom to the surface. Temperature of this lake is 33-34°C in summer and 26-28°C in winter. Clients can visit the lake all year round, either indoor or outdoor. Slight water haze over the lake creates an unique view and makes outdoor swimming more comfortable also in the coldest winter days. This water was appreciated as early as in the middle ages and its curative effects were regularly suggested. In 1795 a swimming pool was built here. This small village has only 5 000 citizens who live mainly off the local tourism and accomodation, which offers high quality services to the visitors whole year. People can find here many restaurants, pubs or night clubs as well as cafes or confectioneries. There is also a casino in the hotel Thermal. The nearby situated castle Festetic in Keszthely is world famous for its library Helikon. Another tourist attractions in the surroundings are castle ruins in Sümegu, Tátice and Szigliget or natural beauties of the nearby lake Balaton. Hotel has its own therapy center with medical staff. Within curative procedures guests can enjoy the following services: mud wrappings, bath with weight, underwater massage, carbonic bath, electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, or curative massage. This hotel was build in a classicism style and is located right by the thermal lake. The accomodation part includes 54 rooms, single and double rooms as well as apartments. The rooms are equipped with shower, toilet, refridgerator, and TV. Most also have a balcony. Restaurant serves its guests with a variety of dishes from international or local cuisine. There is a possibility of diet and vegetarian board as well. Other hotel services include: wellness center with jacuzzi, sauna, infrasauna, fitness, thermal pool, pedicure, manicure and beautician. The price of a curative stay includes accomodation, half board, greetings drink, medical examination and prescription of procedures, 10 procedures per week. The price of accomodation includes accomodation with breakfast and 1 bath per day in the lake.
