Set inside Madonie Regional Park, Il Vecchio Frantoio is a Sicilian manor house with several mills, which was built in the 1600s. It produces olive oil, meat and salami, which is served in the restaurant. Rooms have a rustic yet elegant design with wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Every room features a TV, fridge and private bathroom. They offer views of the garden and surrounding mountains. A continental breakfast is served each morning, while the restaurant serves Sicilian specialities with gluten-free and vegetarian options on offer. There is also a comfortable lounge with a cosy fireplace. Il Vecchio Frantoio is just outside the town of Scillato and offers lots of bird-watching opportunities. You are surrounded by nature and just a few km away you can find the Abies Nebrodendis fir trees, of which there are only 24 left in the world. Free bikes and free parking are available, and the seaside is just 20 minutes' drive away. The Scillato exit of the A19 is 6 km from the property and Palermo is reachable by car in less than 1 hour.
