The curative stays are focused on the treatment of untuberculotic respiratory diseases (chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, allergic cold, chronic inflammations of upper respiratory tract, conditions after pneumonia) and some diseases caused by the metabolism and glands with inner secretion disorders (thyreotoxicoses, conditions after thyroid operations, obesity – special programme), as well as light forms of psychoneuroses and neurotic conditions and conditions of psychic and physical exhaustion in general. The spa Nový Smokovec belongs to the best-known climatic spas in the country and has a perfect location in the middle of the coniferous forests of the Tatra National Park (TANAP) in the elevation of around 1018 m above the sea level. It is protected by the mountain massif from the north, ringed with a well-kept park and conveniently connected with other Tatra settlements, such as Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec and Tatranská Lomnica. It offers great conditions for hiking and other sports activities. The spa guests can enjoy the downhill skiing slopes, cross-country skiing tracks, and hiking trails in the area. Offered treatments include: individual inhalation treatment, curative physical education (breathing exercises, relax exercises, individual curative physical ed), massages (classical, reflex, subaqual), hydrotherapy (beaded pool, scotish spritzers, whirlpool for upper and lower limbs, swimming pool, sauna), electrotherapy and heat therapy (diadynamic currents, diathermia, solux, ultrasound, magnetotherapy, hydrogalvan, bioptron, oxygenotherapy, gas injections). Reconstructed spa house is situated in nice forest surroundings and provides accommodation in 35 double rooms with bathroom and toilette, 20 double rooms with toilette and two suites. All rooms have their own balcony, radio, telephone, SAT TV. In the building there is a reception, canteen, café. Curative procedures are provided in the curative complex 50 meters distant. The price of a spa stay includes accommodation, full board, initial and departure medical examination and 3 procedures per day (except Sundays and public holidays). Minimum length of stay is 6 nights. The price of a relax stay covers accommodation, half board, initial and departure examination and 2 procedures per day (except Sundays and public holidays). Minimum lenght of stay is 3 nights. Children under 12 years have 15% reduction from carative and relax stay. The price of accomodation is calculated room/night.
